Joanne founded Women in Construction Ireland with a vision to create a construction sector where gender is never a barrier and women thrive at every level.

With a background in construction, education and research, Joanne has worked extensively on understanding the experiences of women entering, progressing and leaving the construction industry.


What began as a small initiative has grown into a national network of construction companies and women working across Ireland, with WICI now bringing together industry through membership, mentoring, networking, research and knowledge sharing.



Today, Joanne leads WICI's work to help companies recruit, retain and progress female talent, while creating opportunities for women to connect, develop their careers and shape the future of the industry.
